Indoor Beach Party

By now, we're all sick of the winter weather! Why not crank up the heat and transform your home into abeach for a day?

 

INVITATION TYPE

  • Snail Mail Include a handful of sand and small seashells in the envelope.

 

DECORATIONS

Recreate the beach in your very own home.

  • Decorate with palm trees, tropical flowers, seashells, and tiki torches.
  • If you're willing, cover part of your party area with sand. Don't want to deal with the mess? Make a sandbox instead.
  • Have plenty of self tanners around so you and your guests can get some color. If possible, rent a tanning bed.
  • Inflate pools and fill them with water.
  • Most importantly- crank up the heat! Make it feel like summer.

 

 

FOOD AND DRINK MENU

  • Appetizer: Chips and dips served in festive serving platters
  • Entrée: BBQ Hamburgers and Hot Dogs
  • Dessert: Fruit Salad- your summer favorites may be out of season, but pick the best-looking fruit from the produce section!
  • Cocktail:
    The Perfect Mai Tai, and beer served from coolers!

 

ENTERTAINMENT

  • Listen to a play list of fun and upbeat music.
  • Play nature sounds of the beach and the ocean.

 

GAMES

  • Sand Sculpture Contest
  • Beach Ball- Set up a volleyball net and play with a beach ball so no one gets hurt!
  • Dance Party- Mimic beach night life by holding a dance party when the sun goes down.
  • Limbo

 

ATTIRE

Bathing suits, sunglasses, and beachwear!

 

LAST MINUTE TIPS

Make sure your guests bring beach towels and bathing suits!

 

And as always, remember to bring your camera!
