Happy Veterans Day!
President Woodrow Wilson declared November 11, 1919 the first Veteran's or Armistice Day. November 11 was chosen because it was on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month that the major hostilities of World War I ended. Ever since that first year, it has been celebrated as a day to honor those who have served in our military and given their lives for the United States of America.
