Picture this – Compton, circa 1993, jamming out to Dr Dre's Ain't Nuthin but a G Thang. Use the song's video to set the stage for an amazing barbecue. In spirit of our original Old School Rap Party, we present, Old School Rap Party II – The Cookout.
INVITATION TYPE

DECORATIONS
This party is about two things- the food and the music. Decorations kind of take a back burner with this type of event. Your focus should be more about accommodating your guests rather than making the place look all fancy. Naturally, this event is held outdoors.
- Provide plenty of seating and tables.
- Make sure to secure an area for the dance floor.
- There should be a space for active outdoor games.
- Provide bug spray, citronella candles and tiki torches to lure away bugs. Also be sure to have a first aid kit on hand – things can get a little crazy.
FOOD AND DRINK MENU
- Appetizer: Fried Okra, Shrimp Cocktail, Veggie Platter
- Entrée: Smoky Chipotle Baby Back Ribs, Grilled Chicken with Srirarcha Glaze, Double Corn n' Ham Casserole, Mac n' Cheese, Potato Salad, Corn on the Cob, Cole Slaw
- Dessert: Pie, Pie, and more Pie. Cherry, Peach, Pecan – you name it, it has to be there. And don't forget the Cool Whip!
- Cocktail: 40s, nothing but 40s. You can class it up from the OE and Steel Reserve by getting Bud or Miller Light, but we think you would be cheating both you and your guests. Keep it authentic by having at least one fridge packed with the bottles (even if you have to rent a refridgerator).
